How it connects

We handle everything between your agent and your channels

The agent you already use attaches with one server URL and reaches every connected channel. Specs, tokens, and retry decisions in between are our job.

What happens in the middle

  • · Per-channel spec checks before publishing
  • · Token refresh and account health
  • · Account guards — intervals, daily limits, duplicate blocking
  • · Per-channel status tracking and retry decisions

Channels and their specs

Character limits and media rules differ per channel. Channels open in order as we verify official specs and finish platform review.

Start in three steps

  1. 1

    Connect channel accounts

Connect the accounts you publish to from the dashboard.

  2. 2

    Paste the server URL

Copy the MCP server URL from the docs into your agent's connector settings.

  3. 3

    Approve access

Review the workspace and permissions, then approve. From there you can request publishing and scheduling right away.

Protected before, during, and after publishing

  • Validated before anything goes out

Character limits and media rules differ per channel, so we check before publishing. If even one channel fails, nothing goes out anywhere — and you see every violation at once.

  • Only failed channels retry

If one of three channels fails, only that one retries. A post that's already up never gets published twice.

  • Account protection is on by default

Intervals between consecutive posts, daily caps, and duplicate-post blocking apply by default. If a connection drops, we tell you right away.

Scope

What's in now, what's next

The end goal covers publishing plus reactions, customer conversations, and ads. Items on the right ship after verification.

Early Access scope

  • One request publishes or schedules to every connected account
  • Per-channel spec checks before anything goes out
  • MCP tools, REST API, and customer webhooks
  • Account guards and publish status tracking

  • Customer inboxRoadmap

Ways to integrate

Three ways in

Agent, REST API, or docs — every path calls the same service functions.

Register the server URL in an agent like Claude Code or Cursor, and it can connect, validate, publish, and read results within your tool scopes.

Public connection under review

The public /mcp connection and OAuth consent screen are still being verified. Check the docs for current status.

MCP connection docs

Pick your agent to see how it connects

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http postio https://api.postio.dev/mcp

Then inside claude, run /mcp → postio → Authenticate to finish OAuth in the browser.

Or let the agent do it

Paste this into your agent and it registers the server itself

Set up the Postio MCP server so I can publish to my connected social channels from right here. The server URL is https://api.postio.dev/mcp — complete OAuth if prompted.

Frequently asked questions

What does Postio do?

It's a publishing service — hand one sentence to an AI agent or write directly in the dashboard, and your post goes out to multiple social channels at once, published or scheduled. Spec checks and results live in one place.

Which agents does it work with?

Any MCP-compatible agent — we design against Claude, Claude Code, and Codex. You can also call the REST API directly.

Channels have different limits. Is that a problem?

We validate against each channel's official spec before publishing. If even one channel exceeds its rules, nothing goes out anywhere and you get every violation at once.

Can I use it right now?

Sign-up and the dashboard work today. Channel publishing opens per channel as platform review completes — connect the moment one opens and publish immediately.

How much does it cost?

It's free during Early Access — we're not taking payments. Paid plan timing and terms will be announced before they take effect.

Will my channel accounts get suspended?

Consecutive-post intervals, daily caps, and duplicate blocking apply by default. We can't fully guarantee against platform suspensions, but we notify you as soon as a connection has a problem.
